The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement announced on May 22 that total net revenue for casino licensees in the first quarter of 2026 was $725.6 million, representing a 0.6% decrease compared to the same period last year. Gross operating profit for casinos during this period was reported at $104.7 million, which is a decline of 22.9% from the first quarter of 2025.

These quarterly figures are based on filings submitted by casino licensees to the Division of Gaming Enforcement and provide insight into recent trends in Atlantic City’s gaming industry.

The division also said that important information about how net revenue and gross operating profit related to internet gaming and sports wagering are recognized can be found in the footnotes of its Quarterly Financial Report. The agency said, “Valid comparisons cannot be made without considering the information provided in the footnotes.”

Hotel occupancy rates at casino hotels for the quarter ending March 31, 2026, were reported at 64.6%. This marks an increase of 1.7 percentage points compared to hotel occupancy rates from the same quarter in 2025.

The release provides updated financial data as stakeholders continue to monitor changes within New Jersey’s casino sector.
