Naesha Gadie concluded the season for The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) women’s cross country team by competing at the national championships in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Gadie finished 166th overall, marking the best performance by a TCNJ runner at nationals since Natalie Cooper secured eighth place in 2018.
Gadie completed the 6-kilometer course with a time of 23:17.1. Her placement improved upon last year’s showing by Cassidy Quinn, who finished twelve spots lower. In 2023, Katherine Rice was TCNJ’s top finisher at nationals with a placement of 234th.
Reflecting on her season, Gadie achieved third place at the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championships—an improvement of two positions from her previous conference result in 2023. She also placed seventh at regionals this year, equaling Quinn’s regional finish from last season.
