TCNJ wrestlers Sam Kotch and James Romaine have been recognized by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) as members of the Men’s At-Large Academic All-District Team. The announcement was made earlier this week.
The CSC Academic All-District Men’s At-Large Teams honor top student-athletes for their achievements both in sports and academics. The program acknowledges honorees across four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Sam Kotch, an Accounting major with a 3.51 GPA, has received this recognition for the first time. In his second season with TCNJ’s wrestling team, he achieved runner-up status at the Regional Championship in the 141-pound category, earning a spot at his first NCAA Championship.
James Romaine, a Criminology major holding a 3.6 GPA, is now a two-time recipient of this honor. A senior and two-time NWCA Scholar All-American, he secured sixth place at the NCAA Regional Championship in the 184-pound category.
The announcement of the NCAA and NAIA Men’s At-Large Academic All-America First-, Second-, and Third-Team honorees is scheduled for Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
