The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced on March 19 that Lucia Garcia-Beltran, Maxim Rychkov, and head coach Justin Lindsey have received major regional awards for the 2026 indoor track and field season.

These honors recognize significant achievements by both athletes and coaches in collegiate indoor track. The awards highlight outstanding performances at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships and throughout the season.

Rychkov was recognized after earning two First Team All-America selections at the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. He recorded a time of 6.68 seconds in the 60-meter dash, which ranks sixth all-time in Division III history, and a time of 21.15 seconds in the 200 meters, ranking seventh all-time.

Garcia-Beltran had a notable first year with her team, finishing second in the 60 meters and fifth in the 200 meters at the national championships. Her best time of 7.48 seconds in the 60 meters is now sixth-fastest all-time among Division III athletes, while her top mark of 24.29 seconds in the 200 meters stands as tenth-fastest.

Head coach Justin Lindsey was also honored with a Coach of the Year award after leading his women’s team to a seventeenth-place finish at nationals and fourth place at regionals—both results being the highest among Metro Region women’s squads this season.

These recognitions reflect continued excellence within TCNJ’s track and field program during this year’s indoor campaign.
