The TCNJ men’s cross country and track and field teams have seen five of their student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. This announcement was made earlier this week by the organization. Among those honored, Brandon Chen and Steve Daramola have been recognized for the second time, while George Agyei-Sam, Elan Krakow, and Kevin Matthews received their first selections.

The CSC Academic All-District Men’s Track & Field Teams aim to honor top student-athletes across the nation for their combined athletic and academic performances. The program acknowledges athletes in four divisions: NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA.

George Agyei-Sam, a Computer Science major with a 3.64 GPA, earned Honorable Mention All-NJAC and All-Metro Region honors in the weight throw during the indoor season. His best performance came at the Widener Indoor Classic with a mark of 15.85 meters.

Brandon Chen has excelled in both cross country and track & field to achieve his second CSC Academic All-District selection. A Mathematics Secondary Education major with a 3.57 GPA, he was a First Team All-NJAC selection in cross country following his third-place finish at the NJAC Championships.

Steve Daramola holds a 3.98 GPA as a Biology major and was named a Third Team Academic All-American in 2024. He achieved success in throwing events, taking top honors in the NJAC and earning All-Metro Region recognition in both weight throw (indoor) and discus (outdoor).

Elan Krakow maintains a perfect 4.0 GPA as a Psychology major on his way to his first Academic All-District selection. He achieved career-best marks late in the season in both javelin (49.67 meters) and pole vault (4.05 meters).

Kevin Matthews completes TCNJ’s Academic All-District selections with his first career recognition. A Management major with a 3.55 GPA, he was an All-NJAC Second Teamer in cross country before earning All-Metro Region honors as part of TCNJ’s DMR team during the indoor season.

NCAA and NAIA Men’s Track & Field Academic All-America honorees will be announced on July 16, 2025.
