In the week ending Mar. 21, one gas station in Mercer County sold midgrade gas at the lowest reported price of $3.58 per gallon, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The county registered an average of $4.15 per gallon for midgrade gas.
Mercer County had 44 of 128 reported gas stations offering midgrade gas.
Across New Jersey, the average reported price for a gallon of midgrade gas rose to $4.14, compared to the week before.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration expects global oil stockpiles to keep growing into 2026, a trend that could weigh on crude prices in the near term.
