Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, who represents New Jersey’s 12th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of updates on her official social media account addressing health advocacy, internship opportunities, and storm assistance resources.

On July 16, 2025, Rep. Watson Coleman shared details about her participation in a roundtable discussion focused on uterine fibroids. She wrote: “This morning I joined Lupita Nyong’o and my colleagues in Congress for an in-depth roundtable discussion on uterine fibroids.

Despite the fact that a majority of women will suffer from fibroids at some point in their life – women of color especially so – they have gone https://t.co/ngVsTnh2yq“.

Later that day, she announced ongoing recruitment for fall internship programs within her office. In a tweet dated July 16, 2025, she stated: “Hi folks! My office is accepting applicants for our Fall internship programs until August 1st. We have three programs: a Legislative internship in Washington D.C., a Constituent Services internship in Ewing NJ, and a Press/Digital internship (in DC or NJ). More info below: https://t.co/uY3deojpUQ”.

On July 17, 2025, Rep. Watson Coleman provided information regarding support for those affected by recent storms: “If you were impacted by the storms this week here is a great resource to learn about assistance you may qualify for: https://t.co/L3PvSrG1SB”.

Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman has represented New Jersey’s 12th District since replacing Rush Holt Jr. in 2015 and previously served in the New Jersey General Assembly from 2006 to 2010. Born in Camden, New Jersey in 1945 and currently residing in Ewing Township, she graduated from Thomas Edison State University with a BA in 1985.
