Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, a U.S. Congresswoman representing New Jersey’s 12th district since 2015, posted several statements on her social media accounts this week addressing the passing of a local political figure, criticizing national leadership, and discussing economic challenges.

On January 11, 2026, Watson Coleman shared her condolences regarding the death of Dick Codey: “Im deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Dick Codey.

He was strong but fair. He was accessible and always willing to listen. A champion of mental healthcare and women’s health, he loved New Jersey and his constituents. He served them with dignity and respect.

Two days later, on January 13, she criticized Secretary Kristi Noem’s leadership in a post stating: “Secretary Kristi Noem’s malicious and incompetent leadership has led to chaos across the nation— with people disappearing off the streets, families torn apart, and innocents killed in the process.

For the last year, she has used federal funding for personal benefit, allowed ICE https://t.co/29JLZSofDE“.

Later that day, Watson Coleman commented on economic issues under recent federal administrations: “From day one, the Trump administration and Congressional GOP leadership pledged to lower prices to make life better for Americans. Instead, grocery costs have skyrocketed, health care premiums have soared, and affordable housing is more inaccessible than ever.
