Bonnie Watson Coleman, U.S. Congresswoman representing New Jersey’s 12th district since 2015, recently used her social media platform to address several topics including the gender pay gap, national commemoration efforts, and local student achievements.
On March 26, 2026, Watson Coleman highlighted ongoing wage disparities for women in the United States. She wrote: “The reality for women in America right now means working the same hours for a fraction of a paycheck. For the second year in a row, the gender pay gap widened. Women made 82 cents for every dollar earned by men in 2025. And as the Trump Administration continues to fuel an”.
Two days later, on March 27, she referenced her bipartisan work commemorating a national milestone as part of her role with the America250 Caucus. In her post she stated: “As a co-founder and co-chair of the @America250 Caucus, I was proud to put partisanship aside to join my fellow commissioners and commemorate this historic milestone today. While America has not been a perfect union, we have made many important strides that benefit all Americans”.
Later that same day, Watson Coleman recognized local student achievement related to civic engagement: “C-SPAN hosts an annual student film competition. This year, we have a winner in our district! Watson Coleman has represented New Jersey’s 12th congressional district since replacing Rush Holt Jr. in 2015 and previously served in the New Jersey General Assembly from 2006 to 2010. Born in Camden in 1945 and currently residing in Ewing Township, she graduated from Thomas Edison State University with a BA in 1985.
